Local specialist insurer RIAS and AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust have teamed up to launch the ‘Bournemouth Extra Time Club’, a free programme of events for local people aged 55 and over.
The ‘Extra Time Club’ enables men and women to take part in a range of sporting activities and meet other like minded individuals in the Bournemouth area. Participants are able to enjoy badminton, snooker, golf, ten pin bowling, tennis, swimming and five-a-side football.
The Extra Time Club is free of charge and runs on a weekly basis for men and women over the age of 55.
Janet Connor, Managing Director of RIAS, said: “This is a great opportunity to work with AFC Bournemouth to support our local community. As an over 50s insurer we recognise that 50s are active, individual, busy and experienced, and the Extra Time Club certainly celebrates this.”
Steve Cuss, Head of AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a large local organisation as RIAS to launch our first ever Extra Time Club programme. Each session will allow everyone to stay in shape and socialise, whatever age they are.”
Anyone aged over 55 who would like to take part in the Extra Time Club should contact Steve Cuss on 01202 746342 or visit Bournemouth Extra Time Club.
