TAEN, the Age & Employment Network, has recently published the findings of its survey on the impact of the recession on older jobseekers.
It reports that more people aged 50 and over are being made redundant than before, and that more older people are having difficulty finding work because of their age than ever before.
Apparently some 360,000 people aged over 50 are now looking for work, and with 14,000 people in the UK reaching the age of 50 each and every single day, the Third Age jobless total looks like increasing exponentially!
