My dear, what on earth have you done to your hair???

I washed it last night and now I can't do a damn thing with it!!!

I know the feeling, and you think you've got problems.

Those are male birds and they are up to no good.

They fancy their chances and are trying to impress.

I find men either with shaved heads or naturally bald heads,,,,,,,, very sexy.Laugh

I love taking pictures of wildlife, especially birds. This next picture is probably the most difficult I have ever taken (I won't bore you with details) but to Me it was worth all the effort. I will leave it up to you to decide whether I succeeded.

The colours are amazing.  We only have black and brown birds.

Sparrows and blackbirds and magpies.

They are though very active and noisy.

What a lovely bird. It looks like it belongs to the dove family. One of my favourite UK birds is the goldfinch I will try to get a photo.Laugh

I may need to consider your question for some time before answering, it's the smiley face that has me concerned.

Annmarie he didn't get too close he is frightened of such birds!

It is “IMG1439″  and he zoooomed it

He has learned the tricks of the trade.Smile

I doubt if NZ has such beautiful birds but perhaps he snapped it in Australia.

Oh Doreen, you couldn't be more wrong if you tried. In parts of New Zealand peafowl (especially in the Bay of Plenty) have become a noxious pest and hunters are called in to cull the numbers. I will really upset you and say they make good table fare, in fact they are delicious, I have eaten them on several occasions.

I'm sorry you are wrong on the other point. Frown It is a direct picture from my camera, no PC antics, it's the real thing. I have a macro ability to get within 10 mm of the subject.

There now my life is full of mistakes. Kiss

I didn't doubt that you had taken it with your camera and that  IMG 1439  is your Image number.

I was perhaps thinking of Hazel who on her Blog showed pictures of birds in her garden.

Their colours were so bright and beautiful, I had never seen anything like them.

Why don't we have such birds in our part of the world

… though I do have a dear little Robin redbreast which dangerously builds it's nest rather low down.

As for eating them. We have been doing that for thousands of years and even little chickens are pretty.

So what are you saying, you can make yourself really small and get very close?Laugh Do they taste like chicken? It seems a shame to eat something so pretty but if it's a pest what else can you do. In the UK you see them in the grounds of stately homes. We had a neighbour who had some and they make an awful noise. I think they come from India originally.

He's not pretty, just a big show off. I would describe the taste as being rather like a turkey, they eat well providing they are cooked slowly and with love.

If you looked as good as that you would show it off. I don't mean you necessarily, just anyone. I think we should just eat ugly animals not the pretty ones.Laugh
