October and I am not going to blog this month, as I shall be too busy
It is for me a month preparing for winter. Last year we had our first heavy snow on the 10th. of October.
I was caught unaware.
Yesterday I registered in “Twitter”, today I unrolled!! deciding that it is for me a waste of my precious time.
The garden need doing and my freezer filled up in case I get snowed in or my 18 steps down to the road are iced.
Shivering thoughts.
The trees up on the hillside are still green but that could change overnight….change happens

You're right, Doreen, it is very important to get ready for the winter. We too are stocking up the cupboards. We have a 4×4 so the snow is no problem for us but it's the other cars on the road that don't have it which can cause the problem. If the weather's bad we prefer not to go out in the car unless we have to. They say it's going to be a very wet October here. Let's see.

I am so happy for you! When I rose this am to a cool morning before the sun was up, I could see a half moon with astonishing clarity.
We've had a couple of lovely days and I have built some 'rustic' garden seating for our secluded back sunken garden, installed a new water feature and am trying to get it all finished for Jill's birthday party next Saturday.

Cider you are a very fortunate person.
You see the the early morning sun and moon and appreciate them.
Perhaps they were both shining just for you.
…and your Jill is an October lady , enjoy the birthday party.

Of This and That endeavour and dispute
Better be merry with the fruitful Grape
Than sadden after none, or bitter,Fruit.”

” Come fill the cup and in the fire of spring
The winter garment of repentance fling;
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To fly- and Lo! the Bird is on the wing.”

Enjoy the crystal glass of wine.
The juice of grape, and so divine.
It fills the heart with warm delight.
But tends to make Me pee all night.

Are things happening here today. ?
It is early so I shall wait a while and quietly drink my first cup of … Yorkshire gold TEA.
Catch you later-
PS Michael. I think we both received a mail from our little flower.

Doreen, I finally found your message, thank you. I looked, I laughed and thanked the Lord I had thought to use the blocked sender facility.

Change happens and is that tomorrow the 30th. and the last Saturday in October
I think that we get tomorrow night an extra hour of sleep which we can keep until ??March.
That means that it will be for me, dark at 6pm. and each day will still be getting 3 minutes shorter
Until the end of the year.

It's not a nice thought, 3 minutes more darkness every night. Well, we have Halloween (31 October) to look forward to, and bonfire night (Guy Fawkes Night – 5 November). We are lucky where we live – being out in the country we don't get any trick or treating. It is a nightmare if you live in a town or on a housing estate. When we lived on an estate, parents used to bring the kids around in their cars. You don't mind if the kids live on your street, but I would find I didn't even know the people.
We have our village bonfire this weekend. They set the fireworks off to music. If the weather is dry we will go, otherwise we'll watch it in the distance from our drive.

I am lucky. We don't do Bonfire night. I don't like fireworks, they bang.
Guy Fawkes problem was religion. I don't do religion.
It has and is causing too many bangs around the world.
