I think that Me is partly to blame.

He wrote that we should keep on learning and writing.

With this Blog I am learning to write and thinking, what do people want to read.

? Bad news, Inaccurate news.

I read a while ago in a German Magazine “What the Queen said”  ????????

I read today in a Swiss newspaper what Mr & Mrs Middleton had said (they hadn't said it)

In case you want to know what my left hand is doing whilst I am sitting here.

Holding a piece of homemade custard tart so that I can nibble.

Nothing is more comforting than nibblingConfused

This is the tale of a lass named Diddles.

All she did was type with nibbles.

Her posts increased, as did her size.

Now one must ask, was nibbling wise?

No snow here but they say we will get freezing rain later today. I hope you don't get stuck in the snow Doreen.

I've just been to the farm shop to get my milk and I know it's not Christmas yet but I got some mince pies to nibble on. I usually make them but these looked so nice I couldn't resist them! There is one eachLaugh

It's snowingLaugh. I'm so happy. I love the white stuff. I know it's a nightmare if you have to go out in it, but I don't. I hope it snows all night and I can play in it tomorrow. Well, when I say play in it, I mean I will send my husband out in it to make me a snowman. He won't like it but he will do it because he knows it will make me smile.

Those look nice I think I shall make some.

We don't have that Christmas  mincemeat here.

I can make it myself, but nobody seems to like it and then I have to eat all myself.Smile

Sunday and a day of rest……….. Not for me.

I have to shovel snow away from my 18 steps and then I shall salt them.

I know salt is not good but we do use a lot of salt in winter on the roads and motor ways.

Then I shall walk up to my daughter's house for lunch, a glass of wine and a happy laugh.

I am grateful for small mercies. Smile

I haven't got a recipe so every time I make it,  it is a little different.

I know what I can use.

Always a grated apple, brown sugar, dried chopped fruit.

I cant buy suet so I use vegetable margarine which I freeze then grate,

Then last but not least a small glass of Spanish  brandy.

I mix all together and use it fresh.

It sounds like you had a very hard morning but at least you had lunch to look forward to.Laugh

I had a short walk around the green, gave Petal and Rosie two apples each and then back home into the warm.

Your sweet mince sounds lovely. It's amazing the little differences we in Europe have. Different milk – we have pasteurised and in mainland Europe, sterilised. And no suet.

Hello Mr. ME,  I was going to write you a nice long letter but my ink has frozen in.

I think Switzerland has moved a little nearer to the North pole.

Is our world really warming up.

Breakfast time for me.Laugh

Well it's extremely warm here, why not move south, where Michael and I live it's very rare to see snow. With the temperature in the high twenties, outside barbecues are the order of the day. My daughter is in the pool every day to help strengthen her legs, she has no feeling in them, they are partially paralyzed. She is making the most of life whilst she can still stand and walk with the aid of crutches. She reckons she will be dangerous once she gets a wheelchair, and the way she drives who am I to argue? :)

You are right Doreen. What happened to global warming? It is freezing here. I think you've got it colder than us. Last week I bought a new heated under blanket. It's wonderful. I put it on and go and brush my teeth and when I get into bed it's toasting. My new blanket can heat up in under 10mins and only costs 1p a night. I turn it off when I get into bed but you can have it on all night. It has dual controls. My husband likes his side hotter than me and we can both have the temperature we like, or you could just heat one side, which I do if I have a sleep in the day.Laugh

'ME' I know you must have said what happened to your daughter but I did not realise she had problems walking. She sounds great just getting on with life.Laugh

My daughter has a very rare cancer on her spine, as it grows it is crushing her spinal cord, thereby taking away nerve sensation in her lower body and legs. She has experienced two lots of radio therapy on the tumour, which sadly didn't work. Chemo therapy is not an option but laughter is working wonders. We don't know how much longer she will be able to walk but appreciate one day a wheelchair will be her mode of transport.

Knowing Annette, the first thing she will do is fit it with 'L' plates and a very loud horn. Then there will be a seat belt to hold her in once she starts laughing. If it's possible can beat a problem with attitude, the cancer stands no chance.

'ME', your daughter sounds great. I wish her the best. She sounds like she will be quite a menace in her wheelchair. If it's an electric one you will have to govern it so she does not go racing.Laugh
