I've just been watching Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in London. I find it so sad that all those people from the Commonwealth gave there lives and are still giving their lives so we can be free and safe. I have to say anyone in the armed forces are very special people. It's not like they earn a lot of money and in this country they don't even get the respect they deserve. I know freedom of speech is a good thing and that's what we (our armed forces) have fought for but I think there are certain times people should not be allowed to do things like poppy burning. I don't understand the world today.

I was appalled by that Marieann. Saw about it on another forum. It does nothing to generate understanding between cultures.

Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol.

You're so right Ciderman. All they do is make the divide even bigger.
