I have to say I've been agonising over this for years and I've had lots of sleepless nights over who invented pavlova, the Australians or New Zealanders. Well now we know. The Oxford English Dictionary has settled it. It was New Zealand in 1927. I can sleep in peace tonight knowing that.Laugh

We've had that fight with Oz for years! Same as with Phar Lap and Cardigan Bay horses!Embarassed

Well I suppose Phar Lap is a New Zealander, but there is a lot of British blood in him so maybe we should claim him as ours! We don't get much harness racing in the UK. It's more flat or hurdles depending on the time of year. I have seen some harness racing from America on TV and I really enjoyed it.Laugh
