The last of the Christmas pudding.

I still have a small portion to warm up and thoughtfully eat today.
Yes a day late as January 6th is the  “Twelfth night”. The last of the Christmas festivities
And what is Christmas.  For many people it is a business, a time to sell and earn lots of money.
For me a time to relax, stay in bed a little longer and enjoy my family.
This is the first time that I haven’t taken out my Shakespeare and read his comedy as I was busy

watching the snow melt.  Yes it has all melted and is 8°C today.

But … we still have 7 weeks of winter so it will surely snow again.

And you down in the Southern hemisphere can enjoy your bathing and I hope that I shall once more,

this winter follow the Footprints in the snow, happy to see that the fox was in my garden whilst I slept  Laugh

No picture of a beach but this little beauty is growing in my garden. The seed was given to me by my son-in-law and he wants the flower once it dies off. He then retrieves all the seeds from the centre and feeds them to his love birds. I am simply the middle man.

I still have my Christmas pudding. I'm working through all the nice things we bought for Christmas. I still have some mince pies and lots of sweets. I have put on 8 or so pounds but it won't take long to lose that. Roll on spring. I have some snowdrops poking their heads out of the ground already.

Love the photo of the sun flower, what amazing colour. It's like a ray of sunshine.Laugh

I ate the rest of my Christmas pudding and have lived to tell the tale.
I read the label after eating which was fortunate.
It was made in the UK and I could have kept it until June 2012
It contained they said no artificial colours or flavour, they wrote
BUT it contained Sulphur Dioxide.

I wonder if anybody makes there own Christmas puds.Confused

Oh dear reading my post from yesterday I see a big mistake

The written word — did you notice ?

I used ” a verb and it should have been a possessive”……

That is my life so very Swiss and German, the way I think, the way I speak.

We did have a white Christmas but this morning it is Bleak, a sky full of rain clouds

but temperature well over zero.

Saturday and a busy weekend.

Didn't have a Christmas pudding this year, although we had two given to us. Of course if the weather is hot, then a roast dinner with a pudding to follow would be far too much. We had a large ham that was sliced and eaten with a lovely salad, for a dessert I believe we had strawberries with a low fat yogurt dressing.

However, once we get to July it will be the shoe on the other foot. You will be sunbathing in your knitted bikini, whilst we shiver and have need for long trousers, even a jumper. Mid year, July Christmas celebrations are becoming quite fashionable. Christmas should be celebrated in the colder weather, which is very difficult if it doesn't arrive until the sixth month.

These seasons are getting highly confusing, in March, my wife and I will be going to Australia for our summer holiday, the only problem being, March is the first month of autumn.

I may have to think this out again. Cry

A good Monday morning from the winter world and the weather is better than could be expected.

This really is the end of Christmas puddings. It is already the 10th of a new year.

Here today the children are back to school, the shops are clearing up and it is time

to pepper your pants and get cracking
