Why are people always bad at feedback?

After a couple of months of writing for Third Age I'd like to invite viewers and members to tell me what they would like to hear about and read about. It doesn't have to be specific to Third Agers, more importantly of interest to you.

I know many people are reticent to use forums but they are vital to the progress and growth of a site, so come on!

Here's a challenge for you, and me. Give me a topic, any topic, and see if I can't turn it around into something informative, amusing or constructive within 48 hours.

How can you resist?Cool

Can I suggest as a topic: World Population.

I once read when I was at University, an article by a German doctor whose name escapes me, ( and has done for a lot of years). He carried out an experiment with rats. The rats were enclosed in a large, complex cage and always had adequate food and water even as their population expanded. Despite having everything they needed at a certain population level they began to fight. Not just the normal non-lethal fighting to establish who was who in the pecking order, but fights to the death.

Is there an application in this to the burgeoning world population?

Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol. http://cidermannz.blogspot.com/

Can I suggest as a topic: World Population……wrote Dear Me Cider.Wink

I know that Graham is a very good at writing satire and he would need this when writing about Population.

I have on my computer a “World Population Clock” which I think is in America.

It is increasing every minute: it was 6`803481901`

China heads the list, followed by India and then USA.

Perhaps one day a Meteorite will come down, or we will be flooded out, or another iceage.

Or we could… no I must not write that don't want to get banned from here.

There is enough food for all but we have too much and others starve.

This modern weather is actually the same weather we always had, we just dissect it more with the modern media sources.

I'm sure there have been many instances of climate change over the centuries but five hundred years ago, just before I was born, we didn't have the means of communication to inform the whole world what was really going on.

We'd probably never heard of a polar bear, never visited the Americas and Benidorm was a cluster of fishermen's cottages. So we never experienced climate change by travelling. Now, with a flick of a keyboard, we can find out the temperature, wind speed and five-day forecast for anywhere in the world.

The weather changes each season, each year the season's weather changes from last year, and so it will go on. None of us will still be here to see massive climate change, only to listen to the theorists talk about it.

So, that's my take on modern weather. Now I'm off out in the good old fashioned fog.

Graham you have done it you have proved your challenge  Smile but can we now  go on and discuss this topic?

You finished your post with saying “good old fashioned fog and not smog.

Isn't that an achievement fog without smoke.

Is our weather today also due to industry and electrical influence.?
