I am not sure if Feedback includes Constructive Criticism
So assuming I will try.
I don't like that Top poster which is on every page.
It embarrasses me
Couldn't it be placed silently in a hidden corner.
It makes me look as though I sit all day on the forum.
I don't. I am always busy doing other jobs
I get up at 6am and go to bed, worn out at midnight

It merely shows how fast you type, Doreen!

Doreen, better by far to be the top poster than sit around all day and be the bottom poster, you would get all behind with your posts.

Me— when we sat together on those cold steps in the oldie days you didn't bother then about my bottom.
and any way I keep my bottom in the best of shape……..so don't get cheeky in your old age.

Old age it is, Doreen, and another year clicked over this very day. 67 years of age but I still don't look or act a day over 80.
Now talking of feedback, I have a question. For the past three days I have been logging into this site but I have found no red flags signifying new posts. It was with a little annoyance that today I discovered some cheeky whatsit had logged me out, and then red flags for new posts don't show. I have the little box ticked to say remember to keep me logged in, but it must have failed.

I am feeding back… Isn't that what cows do???
my last post was my 600th. Shocked and devastated.
I think I have been on this Forum for about a year now.
Never meant to stay.
What is Third age ? for some it begins early some much later.
Perhaps for some of the 63 registered, those who don't post they are waiting in anticipation.
If I could have a wish here Iwould ask that My 600 could be archived and I could start at no 1 again.
Please, please bitte, bitte, may my wish come true.

I will have a look at it tomorrow but don't hold your breath. I would hate to lose all your good posts and that might happen if I reset you to 0. All the number says is that you have had 600 ideas you wanted to share. I think that's a good thing.

No Annmarie you have enough work here without me making more.
I am sorry I though you could just delete in the program my number of posts-
I think we 3 posters who write and then a Newbie who comes in with one or two posts and sees our hundreds
and then doesn't dare write again.
It is perhaps that so many register and then never post.
That is what makes me think.

AND then there are all those interesting articles written by the Editor but hidden away.
Are they read ?
They are interesting, very interesting.

I see your point. I will see what I can do. I'm helping a friend with his site so it might take a few days to look into, but I will.

All the articles you are seeing in 'news' have been on the front page of thirdage.co.uk when they were posted and then move down as new posts are written.

Hi Doreen. I have tried turning off the top posts and you lost everything, And it's nice to know who is online, if anyone. I will look into it more but I think it's in the software and it's all or nothing.

Please, please forget it. it is selfish of me wanting things changed.
It is in the software and that is impossible to remove it for just one person.
I am sorry to have caused you so much work.
I shall write lots of posts and catch up with Michael.

I see Annmarie that while I have been hiding behind the floorboards you have changed a few things.
I like it.
I see that I have today reached my 700 post.
Am I a chatterbox.
