Forums have been in the past just a chit chat between posters and I think when all had been said and the wellies and umbrellas stored in the cupboard we got bored and left.

I remember well “Speakers Corner” a forum where International problems were discussed. That too closed down.

Is it that we don't know how to discuss without turning it into an argument.

That we don't  try to understand other peoples views on a subject.

We here in Switzerland are having  at this moment very big problems between Muslim immigrants and Right wing politicians

who call them selves Christians.

I would like  more discussions on interesting subjects and of course , the bit of fun in between and Our Cider's super photos.

I have heard of “Speakers Corner” but I never experienced it, Doreen. It seems that on many forums there are those who have never been willing to consider others opinions. I'm sure there are enough people of a reasonable nature but often they are overshadowed by those more interested in getting personal and abusive. The only way , I think, to offset these people is to ignore them, something which is sometimes hard to do I have found. Smile

About this forum and I am sorry that I said the PM's don't work, because they do.

It was me who couldn't manage them.

Like everything else in life, when you know how it is easy.

Thank you Annmarie for taking me step by step and showing me.

So if anybody wants to use these Pm's and can't, ask AnnmarieSmile

I was up early this morning and looked back at the beginning of THIS “Third age”.

Editor did a lot of writing on so many subjects.

It makes interesting reading. I shall one day take my Laptop outside and re read it all again.

I hope that all the work will lead on to prosperity.

It would be nice if  we had a few more people,  posting and chatting.Cool

I do enjoy reading what people have to say, and what interesting things they get up to.
