Cat soup! I must get Jill on to that!

I see the UK is not the only country that does what it wants despite public opinion. Here too they are intent on building on what we call 'green belt', despite public protests.

Of course here in the UK you're okay if you're a gypsy – you can do whatever you like. But a couple of years ago the two of us were in the process of buying 15 acres for a smallholding. We wanted to put a shed on it. Planning Permission required. We wanted to put a duck pond on it. Planning Permission required. We wanted to put a polytunnel on it. Planning Permission required. With all the hoops we were expected to jump through, the vendor probably did us a favour by pulling out of the deal.

Gypsies on the other hand can decimate green belt with impunity, and Government can build on it whenever they likeFrown

Saturday isn't over yet.  It has rained all day and will be raining tomorrow and on and on.

Doesn't matter as I am catching up with hundreds of jobs.

In Zurich it is chaotic. Police contra masked demonstrators police are not in control.

Nice to be at home, safe and sound.

You are not the only ones with problems (they are Global) here we aren't allowed to use the word Gypsy(Zigeuner)

Yes I know about the words you shouldn't say and about Enid Blyton's books. Stupid.

Well we were lucky here. The rain didn't come in until late. We replanted the stawberries and in the old compost I found a load of vine weevil larvae. I got them out of the compost and put them on a tray which I put down on the grass for the birds. I watched from the kitchen as our robin came back and forth until he had eaten them all. I had another sift through the compost and found another dozen or so which I put on the tray. The robin must have thought it was Christmas. Then I did some work on the Roman blinds. They are nealy finished.
