I thought Doreen might be interested in this. It's a TV program so I don't expect you to watch the whole thing but it's about a Swiss couple who came here in the late eighties and live in the far north of the North Island. Sorry about the preceeding advert!

I'm very sad. You can only watch the program if you are in New Zealand. All we get in the UK is the ads.Cry

I couldn't read your link Cider.

I only hope  it was positive.

When people  immigrate they should  learn both the language of their new country

and the way of life there.

Oh it was positive Doreen! A delightful middle aged couple , he had been a structural engineer in Switzerland but had bought a piece of land up near North Cape (right up the top) . They ran cattle, goats and made cheese . He used his skill in contruction to drive his own bulldozer and create a little paradise. A small bewhiskered man and lovely wife. Pity it wouldn't travel.

Can now take this Laptop outside.

Sorry I didn't get back to you before but I had the doctors this morning. I was just going to PM you to help you figure it out, but you have done it. Great.Laugh I'm glad the good weather has got to you. We have rain coming in, but the garden needs it after several weeks of sensational weather here in the UK.Smile

Doreen, when you say “How can I get my new PS to appear automatically” do you mean your password. If you mean password, just under where you put your password there is a small box. Next to the box it says “Remember Me”. If you tick the box next time you log in and put your Username in it should automatically put your password in. Let me know how you get on.Laugh Hope this helps.

If this is not what you were asking let me know.Laugh

I used to have the same problem.Frown My computer would not save any passwords for any site. It's not the thirdage site, it's the security settings on your laptop. I'm not sure where the settings are. It could be your firewall. I never found out where it was on my computer, but since I had my new harddrive my computer saves my passwords.Laugh I Googled “my computer is not saving my passwords” and it's a common problem. It could be your settings in Windows.

Annmarie, my computer saves other Passwords, even that for my Bank.

When I want to log in my old password is still there, I delete it and then go in search of my new password which I C&P and put it in.

My old Password has first to be deleted from my log in page and this doesn't happen.

What browser do you use. It could be a cache problem.

I use Firefox, one of the best and safest.

My cache gets emptied often. I do this by using “Shift- Ctrl- Delete

I have to do this after using my e- Banking.

It is Firefox. You need to open Firefox and go into Tools on the top nav bar. Then go down to Options – a box will open. Click on Security. Then down the righthand side there is a button Saved Passwords… Click on that and all the sites you have passwords for will show. Click on http://www.thirdage.co.uk and click the button at the bottom Remove. Then click close. On the Options box click OK. Close Firefox and reboot your computer. Then try logging into thirdage. It will need your name and password.

I use Firefox as well. It is good. And all my passwords are saved this way. I hope this helps.
