The difference between you and me is the Moon and the Weather.

Ok –we all have the same moon but it doesn't shine for us all at the same time.

When I get up, bright and beautiful you are on your way to bed, tired and hagged.Wink

Sad isn't it.

Then the weather in our part of the world.

You (UK) are in a High Pressure Zone– Blue skies and sunshine

Me am in a Low pressure zone  which I can only describe if I use an unladylike adjectiveConfused

Yesterday they showed on Television news, the Cöte d' azure, where after a torrential rain cars and caravans

were swimming down the High Street. No drivers and they were gently banging each other.

A very sorry site for their owners.

In some European countries the weather is a financial catastrophe.

People say they have never kown weather like this.

Why is it happening– I don't know Confused

Yes, Doreen, there has been some nasty weather going by our TV news, in Europe. Is it the beginning of the end as some have suggested? I cannot know but almost invariably the comment is ' the worst for 40 years'; the worst in 80 years; very rarely is it 'the worst ever'. We have had a string of earthquakes but that's the norm.

Thinking about the oil disaster off the southern coast of the USA- I wonder if this has ever happened caused by an earthquake or other natural event? The amount of oil removed from under the earth everyday for our energy needs is extraordinary! I know that most oil is contained in sedimentary rock but surely it must have happened in the pre-historic past? Out towards our coastline there have been frequent small oil seeps and a Brazilian giant has just aquired a permit from the NZ govt to prospect the East coast. Who knows! If we are found to be sitting on vast oil reserves we may be invaded!

Sorry about your weather, I will try to send the sun over to you. We have another beautiful day here but I don't know how much I will see of it. I got my computer back and late yesterday and it's going to take some time getting all the info back on it. I had over 900 emails come down.Surprised

Annmarie, after 3 weeks of rain they say that by next Wednesday we will be in a High Pressure Zone.

If this doesn't happen I shall come and borrow your Gun.


It is now flooding  the most beautiful city in Europe, Dresden In East Germany-

This city bombed down to ruins in WW2. rebuilt in the last few years and now with all its many treasures

completely under water.

I've never been to Germany but I Googled Dresden and it is a beautiful city. I remember watching a TV programme on the History Channel about Dresden and how it was flattened in the war and how it's been rebuilt. They have done a great job.Smile
