Anyone else noticed how cheap steak is right now? We buy only the very best fillet from our local farm shop. It's far better value if you do as we do and buy the entire fillet, an absolute bargain at less than £70 and provides us several meals.

Last week we stocked up while we were at the farm shop. For less than £250 we bought the fillet, some succulent organic pork reared on the same farm, organic lamb chops produced on a neighbouring farm, several organic chickens and from the farm shop's in-house fishmongers, some wonderful fresh salmon, sea bass, smoked haddock (not to be confused with supermarket smoked haddock), several tuna steaks and some delicious king prawns. That should keep us going for a few weeks!

For those who haven't tried it, I can thoroughly recommend farm shop shopping. It beats the pants off the supermarketSmile

Lovely to hear that such bargains are to be had. Sorry to say not much use to those of us that could never afford to purchase such stuff and pay up front for it.

No one said the UK was a cheap place to live. It's far from that. Too many people who think the world owes them a living and the rest of us have to pay for itWink

Pheasant. Now that's cheap to buy if you buy direct. At a farmers market you can get them for as little as £4 a brace. Okay, so you have take off their coats yourself, but at that price most of us take off the breast and throw the rest awayLaugh

You sure have a chip on your shoulder,  it is true that we cannot buy the stuff you listed, we certainly do not consider anyone owes us a living or anything else.

Strange the way this forum has become aggressive all of a sudden, how sad to be so.

We will I think leave you to talk to yourself.

I'm having a tuna and cucumber sandwich for lunch. The sun is out here too, I think I will have my lunch in the garden. It is lovely in the sun but there is a biting breeze so you need to stay out of that.Laugh

As soon as it is warmer I will cook outside.

I have a Tajine which I bought in Morocco and I often cook in  this.

I think I have a picture from last August when we cooked in my Daughter's garden a very tasty Paella in her garden.

I have to put the pictures first into my Homepage to post them on a Forum.

Am sure there is another way but……….Frown

I use 'Photobucket' but there is also 'Imageshack' and some others. They seem to have vast amounts of storage. I'm only at about 10% of my maximum and I have about 400 photos on there.

Thanks Ciderman. I'm looking for a plugin for the forum so you can upload the photo's as you write a post. If I can't find a plugin for the forum I think it will have to be Photobucket or one of the other big sites, 'flickr' or 'Imageshack'.Smile
