I haven't been to a flower show for a while. The last show I went to was the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. I've been 3 times to this show over the years. It's a lovely show with a relaxing atmosphere and plenty of room to sit on the grass and take five. You can buy plants and garden equipment there, and they even provide porters to carry the stuff back to the car for you, ideal if you buy something big or heavy. When I went you could also walk around the Hampton Court Palace gardens – not that I found the time to do that. I have to say the gardens are well worth going to see.

I keep meaning to go to the Chelsea Flower Show but it seems a lot of hassle to go to London. Maybe next year I'll go to Chelsea and stay overnight. It won't seem so much of a rush then.
