Most impressive, Lucy. I presume they are not an endangered species?

Sorry Lucy, I can't open the link. However, we have a couple of starling's nests in our carport (we keep the garage door shut), these have certainly left their mark on our car. Some may say the resulting work is modelled on Picasso, we believe their work should be in Paris, preferably in the loo museum.

The article in the Telegraph says that these birds will have returned from whence they came by mid-March.  Not where I live they don't.  They are a bl**dy nuisance to be honest and work in marauding packs, frightening off all the other fluffy little birds that I like to watch.  However, the Magpies are back in my garden this year so perhaps they might leave me alone, but it also means that I will also have a shortage of my usual birds.

The first link worked beautifully Hazel:  it seems that the birds have their own dining table and feed delicately from the titbits provided. You have done a wonderful job with the background music. The second link just wouldn't open.

Hopefully this will work Lucy – my apologies for taking so long to reply but when I checked the forum for any new postings, I didn't realise that I wasn't signed in !!!!!

If this link doesn't work then click on the first link and when the video box appears you will see 3 thumbnails to the left of it. Click on the 'My Lorikeet thumbnail and you should then be able to watch it.

I can't believe the beauty of those birds – and it seems that they are flying free, not trapped in an aviary.  When you look closely at the banding of the colours it's enough to make an old atheist like me half-believe that there must be some greater power who's had a hand in the design.  How lucky you are, and how beautifully they are photographed.  Thanks Hazel

When I came back from England in 1968 with my wife to be, we docked in Fremantle and caught a bus to Perth. She looked out of the window and said, “Look there's a budgie! It must have escaped!”

Australia has got some brilliantly coloured birds as you cab see from Hazel's post. Our's are weirder but less colourful!
