Well posts are now down to about one every two weeks, would it be fair to say this site (or message board) has bitten the dust?

My last post was on the 14th July and there has been nothing since. Should I place the Third Age icon in the recycle bin or are any others coming out to play?

I will give it a week to see if the kiss of life is forthcoming and if not then …

Me I have tried a hundred times to log in and it never worked and today somehow or other I was here.

It is such a long story. I have now a new computer… but

on my last I was hacked and lost everything.

All my e-mails, my pins, my addresses

Spent hours and money on recover programs and nothing, the computer was dead..

I wonder if you will look in again, if you do please mail me

I don't think we will have to turn off the lights as one day they will be switched off

as a Forum like this costs money.

It seems that Annmarie and Gerald have already retired.

It is a shame as it was a pleasant place.

I have often wondered why  nobody was interested in joining in.

Are there too many forums or have posters found other more interesting things to do

Change happens!Confused

Tomorrow is the big anniversary. 6th. August 1991.

20 years since the British Physiker, Tim Berners-Lee, working in Geneva,

launched his WWW. World Wide Web with the words “Try it”

making it possible for you and me to surf around the world.

and what have we now, Facebook and we can Twitter (just like the sparrows)—terrible!

So you see, Change has happened.!

Annmarie you have told me that these days it is Facebook and Twitter.

I don't do the social networks because for me there are more interesting sites in Internet.

My question is, “Is this site going to be closed and if so should I NOT post.???

I have especially written here and not in a PM as perhaps others too would like to know.

Both you and Gerald have put so much work in this Thirdage , you can be proud of what you have achieved.

Sunday and have read the Telegraph- online.

Shocked when I looked at the photos from London and the riots and fires. I worked for many years

in London and those were perhaps my happiest years.

Memories,  WC1 and the 73 bus which took me shopping.

Now living here, a different language, a happy family and lots- too much work

Yes change did happen.

Hi Doreen, Sorry to hear about your computer. What a nightmare! I've let Ciderman know you are back. Thirdage is not closing, nor is the forum. We have just been busy doing other things. We keep getting lots of people joining the site every week but they don't seem to want to join in on the forum. It would be lovely if more joined in but what can you do? Ciderman even offered a holiday in New Zealand Laugh and that did not work. You are welcome to post as is everyone else.Cool

Reading my other post today I realised how easy it would be to only blog.

This i s a Forum. It isn't Facebook or Twitter which most perople seem to prefer.

Are forums finished.

Reading this morning about HTML5  made me remember about my Homepage written years ago.

Computers and programs are much easier now to use.

Only one person posting on a forum is not possible.

I shall have to stop and think.

It is a very strange day today. I've seen the riots on TV and it's like watching something that happens in a different country. I can't believe this is happening in the UK. I can see somebody getting killed in the fires if they keep happening. What is happening is unconscionable The people who are doing this are just criminals.Yell

It seems that what is happening in the Arabian world is now happening in Europe.

It could spread across other European countries.

They show all this rioting and looting on Television and this puts ideas in other heads.

I was astonished at the young age of some of those rioters!
