is about 6 miles long, backed by steep limestone bluffs full of fossils, (one of my interests).

We have an interest in common – fossils. It looks lovely at the beach. What time of year was the photo taken? The grandchildren seem to be having a great time.
If we want to go fossil hunting, we go to Sidmouth on the Jurassic Coast. It's 84 miles and takes 2 hours 10 minutes. You are so lucky to have the beach so close.

Taken yesterday Annmarie , so spring.
We're about 20 minutes from the beach (the nearest one- there are several more a bit further.) but we are in limestone country so we don't have to go to the beach for fossils, but there are always new rock faces to look at after the winter at the beach. We have huge oyster and scallop fossil beds not far from us as all this country was once sea floor about 30 million years ago.

Wow! Amazing. What a nice sunny day. We have rain today.
Where I live too would once have been under water. In the fields around us we find fossil shells. And as you know, in the surrounding area we have chalk deposits which once were at the bottom of a deep sea. You're right, it's best to go fossil hunting after bad weather.

Brilliant. It's a little bit big to take home though.
