I did not get up very early but there was still a bit of frost on the ground. But now the fog has come down and you can't see very far at all.

Is that a bird feeder hanging in the tree?

Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol.

Annmarie that was our weather today but it is mild for the middle of November.
I am glad of every day when I don't have to shovel snow.

Today , as Me will no doubt agree, it has been a scorcher! And probably because of sunstroke I am going to post a recipe! Yes! Me ( that is 'I' not 'Me') herewith. I have never posted a recipe on any forum, so this is a momentous occasion!

Michael, I have read and read your recipe, It sounds interesting but isn't bread when it has no yeast.
It is a cake. I trust you so I shall try it.
Now where did you get this recipe from………..From your museum.

Yes, I have bird feeders in my trees. And the other day I learned something new. I always thought that the birds I had in the garden in the summer were the same birds in the winter, but no. The blackbird in the summer goes on holiday in the winter to France and the winter blackbird comes from Finland or Denmark. That seems a long way just to eat my nuts! The same happens to the tits and finches apparently.

I have to say I like the look of the recipe. Maybe it's called bread because you can slice it? And you do get soda bread. To me (not him) it sounds like a cake. Something you would have with a cup of tea.

You're right . It is really a cake but made in loaf form so you can cut slices off.
Now this is bread Doreen. One that we have developed a liking for since we were in Ireland a couple of years back. No yeast Doreen.
