Rosie knows we have apples and now comes running over to see us. On a Saturday when we are walking back from the farm shop we pick up some pears where they hang over on the footpath but on Sunday it's apples.

Petal is waiting for her apples.

Before we moved, we had about 20 sheep to keep the grass down. When apples were ripe we used to cut up some and feed the sheep. They got used to this and waited for us to arrive. When we sold the new owners commuted a long distance and hence were not home in winter during daylight. They were so pleased with their “park” that they took torches and went out at night to look around. They were startled by noises behind them and when they shone their torch 20 pairs of eyes appeared just feet away!
By the way , our sheep were fanatical about manderine skins too!

I think of sheep just eating grass.

I know goats will eat anything and everything, but gosh, sheep too? I wonder if sheep taste of what they have eaten?
