You can now upload photos straight into your forum posts. All you need to know is where your photo is stored on your computer.

Within your forum post, press the small icon with the tree on it (the caption says Insert/edit image). Then a new window will open.

To the right of where it says 'image URL' there is a small square icon. Click on that and a new window will open. Click upload lmage.

Press 'browse' and find the image on your computer and press open. Then press 'upload'. You will see your image appear in the bottom of the window. Click on the image/photo it will put the Image URL in for you.

Press insert and it's done.

Upload image

You might want to make a new folder in which to store your photos where the box says 'Actions: New Folder'. Next time I upload some photos I'm going to make a folder called annmarie for example. Please note, you can't have 2 photos with the same name otherwise one will overwrite the other.

This explanation is good Ann.      (You said I could use Ann and that is nice)

Most people have photos but are frightened to try and put them on a Forum.

I am going to try!!!

I live on a hill side and I have to go down 18 steps to the road or to my letterbox.

We can be grateful that we still have letterboxes and we were told that they had to be in easy reach for the postman.my steps

So the photo is showing you these 18 steps… I am glad that it is only 18 and not 37.

It works Ann and is easy to use when you know how.

I wanted to write 39 steps then changed it to 37

Why … That 39 steps was my favourite book when I was in school and Richard the Hero

Oh how I loved him.

Brilliant Doreen. You are so clever.Wink

We are lucky our postman comes to our door. I would not like to go down those steps in the winter!

I know 39 steps was a book and a film. But it's late in the day for me and my brain is not working so I can't remember what it's about.

I have to go in to the house now. I'm running late and I've not got dinner on.

Catch you tomorrow hopefullySmile

Our letter boxes are at the front gate. And the postielady arrives on a motor scooter. We can hear the distinctive noise of her scooter coming down the street so she knows most of us as we meet her at the post box and, of course, she knows our names!Smile

Hmmmm. That's strange! There is no little drop down box on the end of image .

I shall fiddle with it!

Fiddle on Cider. I should be in bed but I am not sleepy and have made my self a nice strong coffee.

It relaxes me and then I can sleep.

I was looking at my window, outside is my orchidsvery dark and wondered if I could photo my favourite flowers.

I have 6 orchids all have bloomed and are waiting to go outside when they will recover and bloom next December.

One is still in flower and hanging in a glass blown vase.  I would like to show it to Ann when she wakes up tomorrow.

I have put the date in my camera so  that she can see it's  “Fresh from Press!

Our postman comes around in a little red 'Postman Pat' van. In town they have pushbikes. They keep changing our postman so we don't know who we are going to get from one day to the next.Smile

I love your orchids Doreen. They are one of my favourite flowers. A few years ago my sister got me an orchid. It flowers every year. I can't find a new photo but here is one I took a few years ago. What I love is how long the flowers last.

In one of my pots in the garden I have a self seeded wild orchid. It is the Common Spotted Orchid which now is not so common. The leaves are just coming out. I will take a photo when it flowers and post if for you to see.

To the right of where it says 'image URL' there is a small square icon.

Thats the bit that's missing AnneMarie, the little square box.

Strange but don't worry I can still use Photobucket.

So you don't get the button I circled in red?

I have two ideas:

1, You have a very good firewall and it's blocking it.

2, Because you're not in Europe. (Don't know why that should make a difference)

But neither make sense to me. I have to turn my firewall off for certain things, but I have not needed to for this to work.Smile

The latter could be the cause Annmarie. I've noticed that on odd occasions some items I post , usually of a minor nature, can't be read overseas and vice-versa. It doesn't matter too much.

It's BIG BROTHER. I know on YouTube sometimes you can't watch certain links. We love American Football and in the 2009 Superbowl there was a touchdown by a big defensive player, an absolutely huge man. He ran the entire length of the field and could not believe he had not been caught. On an American comedy TV show they did a spoof of it where he needed oxygen at the end of the play. We only saw a small clip and I wanted to see it all but it was blocked because we are in the UK.Frown

Sorry.Embarassed My fault it was not working. I had forgotten to set the right permissions in the forum control panel.  I thought everyone could use it but I didn't realise only I could see and use the little icon. Now you should get the little icon and everyone should be able to use it if they want to upload photos.Smile
