Blogging
A Third Age Relationships feature
by our Relationships Editor

Blogging is the process of creating and updating a Web Log or Blog, essentially an online diary or journal. A Blog is a type of website or web page hosted apart from normal websites by specialist Blogging companies, who provide the facility for individuals or business entities to easily update and maintain their Blogs and to enable them to be viewed and commented upon by others.

Blogging enables inviduals (or companies) to create their own personal online diary and to be able to instantaneously share their thoughts, feelings, images, videos or other data with anyone they wish to share it with.

If you would like to learn more about Blogging and how it can help you to keep in touch with family, friends and colleagues, we are happy to recommend Blogging for Dummies, an excellent introduction to the subject of Blogging by Susannah Gardener and Shane Birley. It tells you how to create your own personal blog, how to promote your business (if you have one) by Blogging, and even provides an introduction into how to create a small business from Blogging.

I was looking for a corner where I could talk to myself.

The Bistro is so noisy so perhaps a little blogging would be the better place.

I haven't been posting here for a while as I didn't  like being a top poster.

I have been writing on Graham's old place and somebody has been reading there.

I can't manage 2 Forums.

So Doreen make up your mind HERE or THERE or NO-WHERE.

I am at the moment busy with my “Program files”  mending my Homepage.

I need to write in English.

So Doreen it has to be either HERE or There.

I shall sleep on it

Thank you for letting me blog.

Doreen, make your mind up. You complained that no one was posting and now you say the Bistro is noisy!!!!Wink

This place will grow, given half a chance, the other place is not viable for much longer, but we have made this place cosy and welcoming. In time others will join in I'm sure.Smile

I wasn't complaining, I made a statement

Perhaps I used the wrong word and instead of saying noisy I should have said busy.

I apologise. I do have language difficulties.Frown

Doreen, you do not have language difficulties. I have been writing and talking the English language for 67 years and I still can't get it right. You are perfectly understandable, which is more than can be said for me on occasions. I only know a very few words of your native tongue, Swiss cheese and Swiss cuckoo clocks, not very impressive am I? Cry

Dear Me on this last day of the “Naughty- Noughties I must inform you that the Cuckoo clock is NOT Swiss but German.

From the Black forest.

The Swiss are rather anti German.

Yes you Quickies down there are almost in the New year…..

So watch your alcohol and think of your gout.KissLaughSmile

The first day is almost over, I meant to do so much today and all I have done is chat and wash coffee cups.

Graham is being very busy writing and now he has too stared Blogging.

That will be worth reading.

I had a good look round that place and thought shall I do it too  but No.  I would rather read what others write.

And anyway it is a Google thingie and I have enough work on my computer.
