Dear Doreen, there is a slight flaw in your admirable logic. With television you need to use the 'On' switch, before you can use the 'Off', and the 'On' switch with us is best avoided.

It's nice to hear other people's points of view. You can't say the wrong thing if it's what you think. My husband's the same as you. He thinks it's always his fault when something goes wrong. He's most probably blaming himself for the Gulf oil spill at the moment. Some people are like that. It's the way they were brought up.
