I am not an especially religious person but found This story appalling.

What are these people on? How the hell can offering a prayer be construed as bullying? So when the old Pope trots out to give his Christmas message to the masses (pardon the pun) on Christmas Day he's just being a big bully is he?

I have long despaired of the education system of this country having seen some of the half wits it has turned out, but this takes the biscuit. It's nonsensical, daft, politically correct claptrap and flies in the face of every value I was ever taught, Christian or otherwise.

I pray that someone sees the stupidity in this, reinstates the lady and kicks those stupid parents where the herald angels don't sing.

What is it that is wrong in British society that allows this to happen? I don't like to sound critical of Britain alone- similar things are happening in the US, I understand. Here, we are a very secular society but we don't mind that there are Nativity plays, Muslim  Ramadan, Sikh Festivals, Pacific Island festivals it all adds to the diversity of a society. If someone wanted to pray for me (I can't think of anybody!), I wouldn't object! Nor would any of my family even though not one of them attends a church.
