Singer Susan Boyle has achieved chart history by becoming the best selling first UK album of all time.
She's not quite of the Third Age but I bet she has a legion of followers who are.
See HERE
Susan, you dreamed a dream. It came true.
Her new hit is HERE
Where it all began is HERE
I will never forget the look on Amanda Holden's face.
Well done Susan.

Her fame reached us here.
I listened and saw her singing.
I enjoyed every minute of her performance.

I have followed Susan from her very first appearance…I love her singing but find her manner quite childish on some occassions…she has some mental issues I believe and on that thought I do hope she won't be maipulated

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”~ Mark Twain,

She is a quirky Scot and there may be some problems. Mario Lanza drank, Amy Whitehouse is crackers and a few others are a sandwich short of a picnic, so she's in good company.
Listening to her new recordings she has obviously had some excellent singing tuition to refine that fabulously powerful voice. I reckon she can cover three octaves without problem.

I have read some real tosh about Susan Boyle on another forum, and it's interesting that most of it is written by women of a certain age.
The TV audience's eyes rolled when she revealed that she was 48 in her first heat of Britain's Got Talent. There she stood, 48, never been kissed, matronly appearance and her best friend was a cat.
Look at her now. Do I hear the cry “miaow” from certain quarters?

Ha Ha Ha. With a Christmas best seller, methinks it could be a case of Santa Claws. It's a good job you are not on that other forum, with views like that you could be in trouble and need to start from scratch.
The last figures I read she had sold 4.5 million copies of the CD in a matter of a few weeks, I bet she sleeps well in her bed at night.
