Pre-Retirement Courses
A Third Age Education feature

Retirement is very much a state of mind. It involves some significant changes, not all of which will be equally welcome by everyone.
Income
To begin with, your Income is likely to drop significantly, even if you have made adequate provisions for retirement. If you haven’t, then the reduction in your income is going to be even greater and more keenly felt.
Time
The use of your Time is also going to alter significantly. Those who are fully prepared for retirement (those who are likely to have taken a Pre-Retirement Course or have a least fully prepared themselves for retirement) may well find themselves so busy they’ll likely wonder how they ever managed to find the time to work. Those who have not prepared themselves for this significant change are likely to find life rather more difficult without work to occupy their time.
Relationships
Relationships too undergo a significant change upon retirement, particularly those with life partners. Those who are not fully prepared for retirement may have difficulty coming to terms with spending 24-hours a day with their partner, even those who have been together for a great many years.
Pre-Retirement Courses then are invaluable on so many levels. The better prepared you are for retirement, the happier and more successful it is likely to be.
We hope to be able to bring you details of available Pre-Retirement courses shortly.
