While out shopping yesterday I bumped into one 50-something who had just bought himself the most beautiful motorhome I've ever seen. More about that in a later feature, but meanwhile, another 50-something busy doing something he's always wanted to do is successful British character actor, Timothy Spall, OBE.

Help Tackle Invasive Plants

Help Tackle Invasive Plants

The public is being asked to help in recording populations of invasive non-native plants to help find out more about their spread and limit the damage they cause. The Recording Invasive Species Counts (RISC) is funded by Defra and has has identified three plant species which are causing concern over their impact on the environment.

I wasn't actually looking to buy a painting at all when I dropped into eBay late one afternoon during the middle of last week. Keen on furthering our interest in nature, I was looking to buy a piece of woodland on which to establish our own personal nature reserve. Very much a long shot I know, but I visited eBay and typed in the search term 'woodland for sale'.
