A recent visit to stay with friends in Llanelli in South West Wales prompted an idea to produce a series of articles featuring towns around the UK that would be of particular interest to those of us in our Third Age. Unsurprisingly given our love of the town and the area in general, Llanelli has become the first such town to be featured in our 'Around the UK' series of articles.

When baking your own bread is this simple and tastes so good, why wouldn't you want to make your own? The hardest part is stopping yourself from eating it! You'll just need: 1lb (5oog) Wessex Mill French Bread Flour, 1/2 pint (275ml) hand-hot water, 1 teaspoon of Quick Yeast (Fresh Yeast if it is available), 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon of salt.
