Catherine Masters from Oxfordshire knows a thing or two about the Queen’s clothes. Certainly enough to notice Her Majesty wearing the same outfit on birthday card after birthday card.

Catherine, from Stanford-in-the-Vale in Oxfordshire, is 110 you see, so she’s received a number of birthday cards from the Queen, generally it seems, with Her Majesty wearing the same outfit. So this redoubtable elderly lady did no more than write to her pointing out the fact.

Now in days gone by such temerity would almost certainly have instigated a visit from some rather burly gentlemen inviting the complainant to spend a little time at Her Majesty’s pleasure in the Tower of London. But being the 21st century, she received a visit from a gift-bearing Prince William instead.

And Catherine’s 110th birthday card from The Queen? It featured a blue outfit instead of the previous yellow!
