What is Get Online Week?
Get Online Week replaces Get Online Day – an annual event to inspire and help people to get online. Get Online Week 2010 will be bigger and better than ever before with over 3,000 events planned across the UK, aiming to help 80,000 people get online. Get Online Week is supported by fantastic Race Online 2012 partners including the BBC, Post Office, BT and Three.
When is Get Online Week?
Get Online Week is from the 18 – 24 October 2010. However, events across the UK will run throughout the whole of October. To support Get Online Week, the BBC is launching their First Click campaign during the week, encouraging people across the UK to get online.
Where will Get Online Week happen?
In the past, events have only happened in UK online centres across England. However, for Get Online Week 2010 any organisation in the UK can hold a Get Online Week event, big or small.
Why should I get involved?
Over 10 million people in the UK still don’t use computers and the internet. Get Online Week is a great way to help more people in your community to get online.
What can I do for Get Online Week?
Get Online Week is only possible because organisations run such brilliant events and activities in their local communities to help thousands of people to get online. Your organisation can be a part of Get Online Week 2010. Getting involved is free and easy, simply find out more about running a Get Online Week event or register your event now.
